Privacy Policy
Introduction
IPFB LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“we”, “our”, “us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”), IPFB LLC Subsidiaries are the data controller.
This policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data or usage information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, in connection with your use of the different IPFB LLC websites that link to this policy (the “Websites”). Please read this policy carefully so that you understand your rights in relation to your personal data, and how we will collect, use and process your personal data. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy in general or any part of it, you should not access the Website in question.
What types of information do we collect and how we use it?

We collect this information in order to:
- personalize our Website to ensure content from the Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device;
- monitor and analyze trends, usage and activity in connection with our Website and services to improve the Website;

Do we use cookies?
We use cookies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different portions of the Website. They allow us to recognize and count the number of users and to see how users move around the Website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the services we provide to you and the way the Website works. You can find more information about cookies and how to manage them at http://www.allaboutcookies.org/
We use Yandex Metrica, a third-party web analytics service, to understand how visitors interact with the Website. On non-sensitive pages this may include anonymized session replay (Webvisor); pages that display your VPN keys and configurations are excluded from such recording. In addition, we collect our own first-party product events — such as page views, account sign-ups and payment funnel steps — to operate, secure and improve the service. This information is used in aggregate, is not used to identify individual visitors beyond providing the service, and is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising. You can opt out of Yandex Metrica tracking here: https://yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html
Android analytics and advertising attribution
Our Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure installations, app usage, trials and purchases, and to identify which advertising brought a registration. Google may receive app-instance and advertising identifiers (where available), device and app information, approximate location, and events including purchase amounts and currency. We store Google Play install referrers, campaign tags and click identifiers with your account. Google Ads may use the events for conversion reporting and advertising measurement. This measurement does not include VPN traffic contents, VPN configurations or account credentials. You can restrict advertising identifiers in Android privacy settings. For data access or deletion requests, contact [email protected].
Visits to referral links
When you open a referral link such as meduzavpn.com/r/…, the website tells us about the visit: the invitation code (and the promo code, if the link has one), your IP address, the platform and device model taken from the User-Agent header, and the time of the visit. We use this to credit the invitation if you then install the app from the App Store or Google Play and open it on the same device: on first launch the app asks our server to match its IP address and platform against recent visits. Visit records are kept for no more than 7 days and then deleted; if the invitation is credited, your account keeps only the inviter's code.
Trustpilot reviews and invitations
Our own invitations. Separately from invitations sent by Trustpilot itself, with your explicit permission MeduzaVPN may send its own neutral email or push invitation after real experience with the service. It contains only the ordinary public Trustpilot profile link; for this invitation we do not transfer your email address, name or invitation reference to Trustpilot. You choose whether to visit Trustpilot and submit a review, where its privacy policy applies. Positive, mixed and negative feedback are equally welcome. Invitations offer no reward. Invitations sent by Trustpilot itself after your first payment are described in the next paragraph.
Review-invitation permission is separate from service reminders, Google or OpenAI advertising measurement, and the website widget. Email and push are off until you select them. You can withdraw either channel or both in your account notification settings; email invitations also provide an unsubscribe option.
Invitations from Trustpilot. After your first payment, we may share your email address, name and order number with Trustpilot A/S so that Trustpilot can send you an invitation to review MeduzaVPN. All customers receive this invitation after their first payment, regardless of their opinion of the service. Trustpilot processes this data as an independent controller in accordance with its own privacy policy. Leaving a review is optional. You can opt out of these invitations using the link in the Trustpilot email or by contacting our support team.
The Trustpilot review widget in the footer loads from Trustpilot when the footer comes near the screen. Trustpilot receives connection and browser technical data and may use cookies. The ordinary link to the reviews next to the widget works without it.
Trustpilot privacy policyOptional ChatGPT ad measurement
If you allow it, we share your trial start and confirmed payment details (amount and currency), linked to your ChatGPT ad click, with OpenAI. We do not send your email or contact details. Your choice does not affect registration, purchases or service.
Guest VPN test in our apps
We are introducing a short VPN test that needs no account in the MeduzaVPN apps for iPhone, iPad and Android (including Android TV) from the App Store and Google Play. The feature is being turned on gradually and may not be available on every device or in every country. To run the test and protect it from abuse, we process the data listed below.
What we process
Installation identifier
A random identifier of the app installation, not a hardware identifier of your device. The app sends it when it checks whether the test is available, and we store only its hash computed with a secret key. On iPhone and iPad it is kept in the Keychain and survives reinstalling the app.
IP address, 30 days
From the request address we determine the country and the operator's network (network number and name) and limit the number of tests from one network. We keep the address and its hash (computed with a secret key) for 30 days, then delete them; the network number and name stay in the test log.
Device check
Apple DeviceCheck on iPhone and iPad, Google Play Integrity on Android, only after you agree to start the test. The check confirms that the request comes from our app on a genuine device. Apple, and Google where supported, keep a mark that the test has already been used on the device. We do not store the check tokens.
Test step events
Which screens were shown, how the connection went, error codes, durations, network type, platform and app version, and the results of connection checks by category: foreign websites, video, social networks, messengers, local websites, speed.
We do not collect
The addresses or names of the websites you visit, the contents of your traffic or the name of your Wi-Fi network.
How long we keep it
- 90 daysthe test log not linked to an account; then deleted
- 30 daysthe IP address and its hash; then deleted
- 12 monthsthe installation identifier hash with the mark that the test has been used on the device, so the test can be taken only once per device; then deleted
- While the account existsthe test history, if you created an account or signed in on this device; deleted together with the account
Test step events are also recorded in our app analytics together with other app usage events.
For data access or deletion requests, contact [email protected].
